VWR DS-500E Digital Orbital Shaker Mixer Shaker is programmable to run continuously or can function in timed mode for up to 9999 min and turn off. Speed is easily controlled by "Up" and "Down" arrows. Reproducible motion is evenly distributed to all samples through a counter balanced eccentric drive mechanism. Rubber surfaced shaker platform rotates on heavy duty sealed ball bearings and is powered by a continuous duty motor. Hardened enamel finish resists most abrasives and corrosives. · Separate LED displays for speed and time · Microprocessor controlled · Motor protection circuitry prevents overloads Operating in either timed or continuous mode, the unique digital controller uses a microprocessor to deliver the ultimate in performance and motion control. Easy-to-read LED display features both speed and time simultaneously. Programmable speed ranges from 25 to 500 rpm are maintained to ± 2% of set speed. Timer runs from 1 to 9999 minutes. Displayed time counts up during continuous operation and down during timed runs. Speed and time changes can be made with the push of a button; simply press the up/down arrows. Some digital shakers feature an RS-232 serial interface that allows 2-way communication for both data logging and unit control from your computer. Microprocessor offers a speed ramping feature, which gradually brings shaker to set speed, preventing spills and splashing. The built-in safety overload feature will shut power to the motor off if the table top is prevented from rotating, or the unit is overloaded. The shakers are designed to automatically restart after a power interruption and the built-in memory maintains time and speed settings during power interruption.
