The all-steel construction of this top hook assembly is powder-coated for durability, and the needle-bearing-supported load sheave ensures smooth operation. The Weston type automatic brake system is completely enclosed and provides precise load spotting. The triple-spur gears offer maximum efficiency with minimum effort, and the grade 80 load chain is induction hardened for strength. The drop-forged hooks with heavy-duty safety latches swivel 360 degrees for easy rigging. The SMH-001E Top Hook Assembly by Walter Meier Manufacturing Inc is a high-quality component for your hoisting needs. This top hook is compatible with the SMH-3T-20 model and has a full range capacity of 1/2 to 10 tons. With 28 different models stocked, there is one for every application. This economical hand chain hoist is designed for years of trouble-free service and is perfect for low headroom applications. When selecting a supporting structure and load-attaching devices, ensure they provide adequate safety to handle the rated load and equipment's weight. If in doubt, consult a qualified structural engineer. Do not use this equipment for lifting, supporting, or transporting people or lifting or supporting loads over people. This top hook assembly conforms to OSHA, ANSI/ASME B30.16, and HST-2 standards, making it a safe and reliable choice for your hoisting needs. It has a headroom of 23-1/2 inches, a height of 9.6 inches, and a length of 19.2 inches. The load chain has a diameter of 7mm, and the model number is SMH-3T-20. Its net weight is 88 pounds, and it requires one foot, one-sixteenth of a foot of hand chain to lift the load. The rated capacity is 6614 pounds, and it requires 86 pounds of pull to lift the capacity.
