One of the best  ways to heat soups, chili, nacho cheese, sauces, etc, because the 1650 watt resistance heating element is inside the well where the water goes as opposed to under the well. The heating element directly heats the water allowing for heating with 120 volts in the shortest amount of time.  The best method for reheating short of heating on an open flame or in a microwave. We've proven we can reheat 7 quarts of chili from 34F to 180F in less than 15 minutes by stirring every minute after the water in the well has reached near boiling temperatures. (please note that no matter how fast you can reheat by constantly stirring, some bureaus in charge of food service may insist on reheating with open flame or microwave.) This unit can take a 11 quart insert pot as is, or a 7 or 4 quart insert pot with easily obtained adapter rings.  Local pick-up is OK.
