This is an oversized replacement collar for Wilton vises that have a spindle with a worn groove causing excess lash in the handle when you open and close the vise.  Previously the only alternatives were to purchase an expensive new spindle assembly, have a machine shop weld and re cut the groove back to factory dimension, or have a machine shop make an oversized collar.  All three options are normally several times more expensive than this collar and many machine shops won’t take a job this small. This collar is  .250” thick (+/- a thousandth or two) and made of USA-sourced stainless steel.  The Inside Diameter is 1 1/2” and the distance between the collar and the holes is 2 3/8” center-to-center.  A standard factory collar measures around .250” thick by way of comparison.
