Instruction Book No. 28 Witte Throttling Governor Engines, Power Pumpers and Saws, by Witte Engine Works, Kansas City, Mo., 1920s?, 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 paperback, 24 pages. Reprinted in 2011 by Nation Builder Books, Mebane, NC. Please note this is a new, photoduplicated reproduction, not an original. The accompanying pictures were scanned from a reprint, not the original. The two engines pictured on the front cover are the Type “F” and the Type “H” but I see nothing in the manual that is specific to these two Type Witte engines. Contents include: Instructions for Operating Witte Engines Parts List and Diagram for Wood Block Friction Clutch, Heavy Duty Type Log and Tree Saw Instructions Log Saw Blades and Their Care Lubrication Diagram Operating Tree Saw Instructions for Assembling Portable Trucks Instructions for Assembling Portable Saw Outfits Chart of Engine Troubles and Their Remedies (4 pages)
