Another really good Geiger Counter! Looks new. Last calibration was 12-04-2013. Included is a copy of the operation and maintenance manual.  It has a HP-265 "pancake" probe with a new cable and also has new batteries installed. Detects alpha, beta, gamma and x-ray. The pictures show it reading a sample of fiesta ware at about 15,000 cpm.  A brief description: It is a ruggedized, moisture resistant Portable Rate meter designed to accept the signals from GM detectors, i.e. HP-265, GP-200 and scintillation detectors. The waterproof panel meter displays the signal in 3 linear ranges in CPM and mR/h.  The internal battery voltage and high voltage supply can be read directly on the meter by operating the toggle switch on the front panel. HV is adjustable from 500 to 1500 vdc. A Low Battery LED lights automatically indicating a low battery. Saturation of the GM detector will automatically latch the panel meter full scale and energize a red LED in the right corner of the meter indicating the GM detector has saturated. The meter will latch full scale in fields of over 1000 R/hr and automatically return to normal operation when the detector is no longer saturated.  Response time is variable from 4 to 20 seconds. A speaker can be switched on and off from the front panel. Uses 2 nine volt alkaline batteries and has a nominal operating time of 200 hours.
