For backed veneer, one side is a glue substance that can be heated and applied with pressure, while the other side has paper that can be bonded with any desired agent. The best technique for raw veneer or un-backed products can vary, so we recommend checking available advice online. Our products' thickness may vary slightly, with paper-backed veneers at 1/40", wood-backed veneers at 1/25", and raw plain veneer ranging from 1/32" to 1/42". To cut the veneer, we suggest using razor or box knives with a straight edge. Contact cement is generally used to apply paper-backed and wood-backed veneers, while raw plain veneer requires white or yellow wood glue with pressure applied while drying. Most conventional finishing products, such as staining or clear coating, can be used with properly applied veneer. This lot features 20pcs of Wood Veneer Curly Maple measuring 5x50 inches each, with a total of Xpcs in the lot. The "EXOTIC" CM6 12-31 code refers to our inventory. Please note that one leaf is wet in the pictures to represent the finished look. Backed veneer is available on 10mil glue paper sheets that can be sanded and inspected for a small fee. Color adjustments have been made to display the color as accurately as possible. Natural wood products may have minor splits, tears, or crevices filled with wood filler. Some sanding may be required before finishing due to veneer tape, splice glue, or other imperfections. Please note that our measurements are in inches, and we offer combined shipping for multiple auction wins. Lastly, some splits may be present at the end of raw veneer.
