The color in the pictures may not be exact, but we have made an effort to show it as accurately as possible. If you choose backed products on 10mil paper glue backer, you will receive one side with a glue substance that we heat up in our press and apply. The other side is paper, so you can apply your bonding agent of choice. For raw veneer or un-backed products, we suggest researching online for advice on the best way to handle the product. This lot of Wood Veneer Hon Mahogany is made up of 14 Pieces Total Raw Veneer "EXOTIC" MAH1 1-8-15. In the last picture, a mist of liquid has been used to highlight the finished look of the veneer. The Xpcs total refers to the number of pieces in the lot, and the size is given in inches. The code after "EXOTIC" refers to our inventory, and we may have other sizes and backed veneer available. For a small fee, 10mil glue paper backed sheets can be sanded and final inspected. Please keep in mind that sometimes veneers may have minor splits or tears, which are usually taped or repaired in some way and should not impact overall quality or satisfaction. Wood products are rarely perfect, and some sanding or filler may be required occasionally. All measurements are in inches. If you win multiple auctions, shipping will be combined. Note that there may be some splits at the end of raw veneer. Thickness may not be exact but relatively close: Paper-backed veneers = 1/40”, Wood-backed veneers = 1/25”, Raw plain veneer with no backing = 1/32”-1/42”. To cut veneers, we recommend using a razor/box knife or similar tool and a straight edge. When it comes to applying the veneer, paper-backed and wood-backed veneers are generally applied with contact cement, while raw plain veneer is applied with white or yellow wood glue and must have pressure applied while drying. Most conventional finishing products can be used with veneer if applied correctly. Some sanding may be required before finishing to prepare the surface and occasionally to remove veneer tape, splice glue, or some other imperfection.
