Minor splits or tears may be present in the veneers and may be taped or repaired, but should not impact overall quality. Some sanding may be required before finishing to prepare the surface, and any conventional finishing products can be used once the veneer is applied correctly. Please note that wood products are rarely perfect due to being a natural product. This listing is for a lot of 18 "EXOTIC" MA1 1-7-14 raw wood veneer pieces made of maple, each measuring 14x42 inches. The last picture shows the veneer with a mist of liquid to give you an idea of what the end product would look like. The code after "EXOTIC" indicates our inventory, and we may have other sizes and backed veneer available. Please inquire for details. Please note that the color adjustments have been made to show the color as accurately as possible, but it is impossible to get photos exactly correct. If you opt for the 10mil glue paper backed sheets, we can sand and inspect them for a small fee. For backed products, one side will have a glue substance applied and the other side is paper. For raw veneer products, we suggest researching the best methods for handling before working with them. The thickness of the veneers may not be exactly correct, but is relatively close: Paper-backed veneers = 1/40”, Wood-backed veneers = 1/25”, Raw plain veneer with no backing = 1/32”-1/42”. Cutting can be done with a razor/box knife and some type of straight edge. Paper-backed and wood-backed veneers can be applied with contact cement, while raw plain veneer is applied with white or yellow wood glue. All measurements are in inches, and shipping will be combined for multiple auctions won. The raw veneer may have some splits at the end.
