Up for sale is a Zeiss JENAMED2 trinocular microscope in top condition. The greyish finishing is excellent and the modularity very handy. This is an infinity corrected system. The microscope is an Epi-fluorescence microscope,and,of course,a brightfield microscope. The microscope has TWO light sources: First,is the internal halogen light,for brightfield. The module is located at the back of the unit and can be easily pulled out when needed. The second illumination source is a top notch Opti-Quip HBO (Mercury lamp) illumination kit to be used mainly for the Epi-Fluorescence,which needs an intense source of light. The orange filter in front of the microscope is to protect the viewer from UV rays.This power supply has low hours,so it will work for a long time. The eyepieces are P10x18, High Point.[ONE side of the head is focusable]. A battery of five great widefield objectives (25mm thread) : 3.2x GF PLANACHROMAT, INF. CORRECTED 12.5X GF PLANACHROMAT, INF. CORRECTED 25X GF PLANACHROMAT, INF. CORRECTED 40X GF PLANACHROMAT , INF. CORRECTED,WITH CORRECTION COLLAR HI 100X PLANACHROMAT , INF. CORRECTED,WITH CORRECTION COLLAR. The infinity correction of the system makes for seamless optical integration of those elements. I would like to mention that these widefield [GF=Grose Felde=Widefield in German.] objectives produce exceptional microscopic images: huge,bright and crystal clear. The construction of the microscope is quite modular, one screw locking components onto rugged dovetails. That makes for easy maintenance and safer shipping . Please look attentively at the pictures: they reveal a lot of details. And please feel free to ask questions. This microscope is easily on par with many of the newer and hugely expensive systems.
