Three autoclavable barrier shells are included with the system, so it's easy to have one ready for the next appointment. Between patients, the handpiece just needs to be wiped down, a freshly autoclaved barrier shell put into place, and a new disposable angle snapped on. These simple procedures will ensure that Zen prophy meets the highest standards of infection control. The Zen user's manual provides more complete information on cleaning and maintaining the system, but lubrication and reconditioning are no longer necessary.
