Special adapter key included. The sleeve just slides into the JD 318 PTO then over the Engine shaft. See photo illustration below. The STEP KEY makes 4 adaptations: 1. It compensates for the thickness of the bushing. 2. It fits into a 1/4" keyway on the engine shaft 3. It fits into a wider 3/8" PTO keyway 4.
