Thermoline laboratory electric furnace rated to 1,700 Centigrade (over 3,000 F).  Chamber is 10 X 10 x 10 inches.  It can be plugged into a 220 volt dryer receptacle.  The eight molydemium di-silicide elements are in good condition.  I purchased the furnace new in the early 1990s.  The fiber insulation shows cracking and pink stains from firing chromium oxide.  Some of the controller features are no longer operational, but setting a temperature and automatic power control to maintain that temperature is functional.  Power input can also be controlled manually by turning a rheostat on the front panel.  The thermocouple works, but its terminal block and copper wires need to be cleaned of oxidation to prevent false readings.  The thermocouple contains a platinum wire about 3 inches long by .02 inches thick.  There are three built in cooling fans that together with the excellent insulating ability of the ceramic fiber  keep the exterior surfaces cool to the touch even when it is white hot inside.  Included is owner's manual, refractory gloves, and pure alumina sand for the floor.  The starting price is a small fraction of what a similar furnace currently costs new.   This item can not be shipped.  It must be picked up at my home in Virginia 102 miles SW of Washington DC.  I will assist in loading into your vehicle.
