This Vintage Calibron scale is a very rare and great collectors item. Calibron discontinued Purple over 20 years ago. I have talked to Company and I am the only person that they know of who has New Old stock American Made Purple ones. They are new old stock and has never been used in mint condition. These are the older better made ones from America. The new ones are Chinese.  I purchased the remaining stock from the distributor who went out of business over 30 years ago. These date from 1980-82. Very nice stocking stuffer. Because they are 30 plus years old the boxes may show some very slight if any wear. Calibron Precision Twin Beam Gram Scale. This simple yet very accurate pocket mechanical scale is made in the USA.  The Calibron weighs up to 4 grams with readability to 1/20 gram.  The gram graduations increment in .05 gram intervals from 0 - 1 grams.  Placing the attachment weight on the second beam in one of three predetermined holes to change the scale's capacity to two, three or four grams.  The Calibron is a great cooking scale for measuring herbs, spices and small quantities of ingredients.  The removable bowl (diameter is 1 1/4" with a depth of 5/8") is perfect for emptying the weighed contents.  Overall dimensions of the entire scale is 4 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 13/16" (L x W x H)   ................................   Check out my other items! for more scales. . .
