This auction is for 1 tube of: FIRESTOP 4800DW One Component Smoke & Firestop: Red Fire Caulk Sealant Made by Passive Fire Protection Partners The Firestop 4800DW tubes in my auctions are a few years old. They have a printed manufacturing date but no expiration date. I have personally asked both residential and commercial inspectors if these were OK to use. One commercial inspector looked at it closely then said, “As long as you can fill and seal what is required by code and assuming it cures correctly; I see no problem with it.” I have always been allowed to use these on my jobsites, but keep in mind, that the building inspector always has the final say. If you are worried about passing your inspection, give your building inspector a call and ask. These have been stored in a dry temperature controlled area and have never been allowed to freeze. I will personally check each tube before shipment for pliability (no hardening) by pressing in on the sides from top to bottom and by checking the inner cap/plunger for the same. Shipping: Since it is winter and fire caulk should not be allowed to freeze, I will drop off all shipments to the post office. I have added a $2.35 shipping option which includes signature confirmation: That is my actual cost. If this is being delivered anywhere it might freeze (mailbox, porch, etc…), I highly recommend this shipping option for signature confirmation, so it will have no chance of being left out and possibly freezing. Compliance: Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and Intertek Testing Services NA Ltd. (Warnock Hersey) are fire endurance testing agencies accredited by ICBO, BOCA, and SBCCI (National Evaluation Services) in the United States. In Canada, ITS Warnock Hersey & cUL are accredited by the Building Standards Council of Canada (SCC). Certifications provided by InterTek Testing Services Ltd. (WH) have equal status with those provided by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and Underwriters Laboratories Canada (ULC). 4800DW is Factory Mutual (FM) Approved and has been fully tested and meets or exceeds the requirements of: ASTM E-814, ASTM E-119, ASTM E-1399, UL 1479, UL 2079 and ULC S-115-M95. 4800DW has also been tested and meets the classifications for less than 25 flame spread and less than 50 smoke development (NFPA Class “A”, Building Code Class “1”): • ASTM E-84 Approvals: California State Fire Marshal 4485-1433-101 City of New York MEA 91-01-M, MEA 136-10-M Product Description: 4800DW is an exceptional quality high solids latex base elastomeric firestop caulk. This enhanced firestop material can be applied with standard caulking applicator guns or troweled in place with conventional troweling tools.
