Manufactured in the USA in a state-of-the-art facility.     Our slides feature a simple streamlined design from a single material: the strongest optical acrylic available. The upper and lower sections are permanently fused using sonic welding technology. Traditional manufacturing methods use glue to bond the upper and lower sections. This is a less precise procedure which can affect chamber size, and also is more likely to trap residue from a previous specimen. Gluing dissimilar materials such as glass and fiber polymer also raises questions about the useful life of the slide.     The design of many microscope mechanical stages prevents viewing both grids without re-positioning the slide. We divide the grid into the standard number of channels (6), but arrange them vertically to reduce the overall size of the slide such that it will fit these smaller microscope stages. The grid has same capacity as standard 6 horizontal channel slides, 0.15 ml.     We use a semi-transparent ink that clearly defines each channel while allowing inspection of ova through it. The ink is screen-printed on the inside of the chambers to reduce wear. It is so durable that we have never had a complaint about it coming off or fading.     Made from the most durable material for this application, our McMaster Method counting slides can be used again and again. They can be cleaned using warm water, with an occasional addition of dish soap for a brief soaking followed by a warm water rinse. Cleaning instructions are packaged with each order.   SPECIFICATIONS:   Egg per gram sensitivity     25 EPG Grid size                           1 cm x 1 cm Volume under grid              0.15 ml Material                             Acrylic Slide dimensions                2.3 cm x 7.6 cm Grid Color                          Blue McMaster microscope slides were first developed in 1939. They have long been well established in the agricultural, veterinary medicine and scientific communities as a reliable tool for estimating parasitic load in horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and other ruminants.  Through the years practitioners have made small modifications to the original design, but remained faithful to the underlying principles. Often different communities, regions, and professions (e.g. academics, veterinarians, farm managers) use different terms to describe McMaster slides. These differences are reflected in our Ebay listings shown below.  1 McMaster Parasite Counting Slide 2 McMaster Worm Egg Counting Slides 3 McMaster Microscope Slides For Parasite Egg Counting Test 4 McMaster Fecal Worm Counting Slides 5 McMaster Two-Chamber Slides For Worm Counting Test 6 Parasite Egg Counting Slides For Modified McMaster Method 7 McMaster Well Slides 8 McMaster Method Fecal Testing Slides 9 McMaster Grid Slides 10 McMaster Vet Slides
