Saddle feathers are great for Fly Tying fly fisherman as well.  I acquired all of my birds directly from the top breeders in the country!!! Bloodline--- My birds come from David Rogers, Toni Marie Astin, and decedents of Dr Ogasawara's import from Japan of pure Onagadori for his Studies and published in the 1970's December National Geographic Issue. David Rogers and Toni Mari Astin have successfully raised roosters here in the US with over 12ft and 14ft tails. My birds descend from these roosters not too far down their family tree. My birds from David Rogers are birds that were from his breedings in his own backyard. He has a very famous White Non Molting High Percentage Onagadori Rooster named Hakuro that grew over a 12ft tail here in the U.S.. My birds I aquired from him about 8 years ago are closely related to his rooster Hakuro that grew over a 12ft tail!!! My birds from David Rogers are basically close cousins to this rooster. My BB Red hen in my pics is one of the breeders for this Auction and was from the breedings of David Rogers and closely Related to his 12ft tailed White Rooster. About 25% of chicks I hatch from David Rogers line are Pure White from the White Extremely Rare Pure Onagadori hen that was used to create his bloodline. My birds I aquired from Toni Marie Astin are from Non Molting Onagadori % adult birds directly from her. I own a rooster and a few hens from her. She has raised roosters here in the U.S. with 12ft and 14ft tails!!! I own a Non Molting BB Red Rooster from her that grew over a 9ft tail when Toni Tested him for non molting! He is one of my breeders as well! He is the BB Red in the pics. His tail is not 9ft long now because he is in breeding pen with hens. As you can see in the pics, he still grows a nice full tail even in the breeding pen!!! His tail is over 4ft long in the breeding pen and still in blood feather and growing! Lastly my 3rd bloodline is from a friend that acquired her High Percentage Onagadori birds from Dr Ogasawara'sclose friend many years ago. Dr Ogasawara's imported Pure Onagadori from Japan for his Studies in UC Davis University and published His Pure Onagadori in the 1970's December National Geographic Issue!!!!!! My Silver Non Molting High Percentage Onagadori Rooster from his bloodline has a 5ft+ tail right now in the breeding pen and he is still in blood feather and growing his tail. He is the rooster with all of the side body hackle feathers. This is an Onagadori Trait and his whole sides of his body is covered with this!!! My Birds are one of the highest quality types of High Percentage Onagadori longtail fowl in the U.S.. They have a ton of soft multiple feathering and great tail lengths. My birds are also one of the tamest birds you will find. They simply eat right out of your hand and let anyone walk right up to them and pick them up. My birds are extremely spoiled. I let them out of their pens every so often with their breeding group to graze on grass and enjoy the sun but they are cooped up for majority of time for their protection. Onagadori Characteristics--- Notice my birds tail angles are low angled like the Onagadori in Japan. My males and females all have an extreme amount of multiple feathering. Their tail feathers in the roosters are thin and soft and wispy. Almost all of my males get pointed side body hackle feathers, shown in one of the pics of my silver male. My birds are all calm and tame. Some of my birds have green legs and feet on colored birds and yellow legs and feet on my white birds. Most of my males have an exhale at the end of their crow. My birds have a corn allergy and can get sick if they eat corn. My birds are all from Non-Molting Bloodlines, which means some of the males will continue to grow their tail and saddle feathers each year without molting them off. They are closely blood related to birds here in the U.S. that got over 12ft and 14ft tail lengths. All of these things I point out are Onagadori Characteristics.  I have been raising these Rare Long Tailed High Percentage Onagadori for 10 years or so now. These are not really Phoenix, however, they are not pure Onagadori either. My birds have high percentage Non-Molting Onagadori blood in them and hardly any Phoenix blood in some of them, and some of my birds have no Phoenix blood at all. To be an Onagadori, the rooster must exhibit a tail that continues to grow for 3 years or more without molting and have saddle feathers 1/3 or more the length of the tail. There are no known pure Onagadori in the U.S. according to the internet and what people have posted online. Most of my birds have a high percentage of Non-Molting Onagadori blood in them. This is all that it takes to grow tail and saddle feathers of extreme lengths here in the United States.  Pictures--- Pictures shown are my birds and are some of the breeders that will be used for your eggs you will receive. Pictures are only some of my males when they were only up to 8 months old or just starting to regrow their feathers 4-6 months after their Molt. They have way more potential of feather length than shown in my pictures, but this gives you an idea of how high the quality is in my birds.  Colors--- My birds colors are Yellow Legged Recessive White, Silver Duck Wing, Golden Duck Wing, Black Breasted Red, Birchen and Shojo(Orange). Your eggs can be a assortment of these color groups. One neat thing is that all of my birds have the Recessive white gene. This means that all of my birds are capable of producing pure white offspring. Even two silver parents can produce a pure white offspring. So you will have a good chance of hatching out eggs that will be pure white. My birds are excellent flyers, have an abundant amount of multiple feathering in the males and females, and can be enjoyed in many different ways. Enjoy watching their tails grow in your backyard for your own pleasure, show them off to your friends and family when they visit, or take them to poultry show competitions and have confidence in your long tailed birds.   Feed--- My birds are all fed an expensive corn free diet made of Corn free small bite dog food, Corn free pond fish pellets, and whole oats, along with healthy treats for my birds like garden veggies and live meal worms. Corn is supposed to be toxic to pure Onagadori in Japan. When i first acquired my birds about 10 years ago, i fed them mainly normal chicken feed. I noticed my birds stated developing breathing problems and getting sick easy. This also told me that my birds are indeed high percentage Onagadori. I do not recommend feeding your birds that hatch from me normal chicken food with corn. Although i have fed some of my birds a normal corn diet chicken feed for years with no deaths due to the corn, some did show signs of breathing problems. I highly recommend a corn free diet like the one i use.  Tail lengths--- My breeding males get 4-6 ft tails in the breeding pens. To get much longer tail lengths, allot must go into raising these birds. In Japan, they use Tomebako's. (A wooden box raised, used to protect the tail and keep rooster out of sight from hens to keep their hormones down and help the tail stay in blood feather and continue to grow). Not all males get tail lengths of extreme lengths. Even Pure Onagadori in Japan usually do not get tail lengths of 10-15ft or longer. It is said that only about 1 or 2 in every 100 Onagadori roosters in Japan can reach those lengths. I can't guarantee your birds you hatch from me tail lengths, but my birds are all extremely pretty and usually get over at least 3ft long tails and up to 5-6ft on the ground in breeding pens.  Fertility--- My hens always have a high hatch rate and always hatch their own eggs. Usually 12-18 chicks per setting. I have so many chicks hatching that i can't hatch anymore and want to let someone else enjoy these rare birds. Eggs--- You will get the amount of eggs listed in the title plus (1 to 3 extra eggs and sometimes more) I will try to send as much as possible to help with your hatch rates. Eggs will be from a mix of the 4 above listed bloodlines. My choice of what eggs are collected from each pen. Eggs will be from 4 breeding pens. 1 rooster in each breeding pen with 2-4 hens per pen. Don't worry about fertility. It is always high in my birds. Eggs will be collected daily to ensure they are fresh and clean when shipped. They will only be 3 days old and less. I will turn them daily until i ship them to you to help ensure good fertility and healthy eggs. Eggs will be packaged very well, individually bubble wrapped  and shipped the following Monday or Tuesday after the auction ends. Palease pay soon after Auction ends so i can ship these to you as soon as possible! I want you to hatch allot of chicks from these eggs! Please bid with confidence. I have shipped many birds and eggs over the past several years throughout the country privately. All buyers have been pleased with their birds from me. I have had multiple buyers tell me that their kids won the 4-H poultry show competitions with their Long Tailed Birds from me. You are going to love watching your new Rare Long tailed eggs hatch and grow and see how long their tails get! They will be the talk of your backyard when your friends and family see how pretty they are and how long the Roosters tails get!!! I can't guarantee your hatch rate with these eggs but like I said, my birds are healthy, very well taken care of and have a high hatch rate over here!!! I have bought many fertile hatching eggs online over the years and understand buyers frustrations with fertile eggs. I have bought eggs that were cracked when they arrived and also have bought eggs that simply did not hatch. If shipping goes well and incubation is good, you should get a good hatch rate. I can't guarantee your eggs will hatch due to shipping and incubation factors, but will ensure they are packaged safely and will label the shipping box to be handled carefully and Live Fertile Hatching Eggs inside the box!  Please leave positive feedback if you are happy with the eggs when they ARRIVE!!! I individually wrap each egg in a paper towel and then individually in bubble wrap and then bubble wrap around the eggs in the box. I have no control on how the post office handles your eggs. It is always a risk buying fertile eggs that need to be shipped and the buyer should understand that before they buy the eggs. I have had some customers tell me they had a low hatch rate and I was kind enough to send them more eggs for free. I've also had plenty of buyers tell me that they had a very high hatch rate and also tell me that I package the eggs extremely well. Eggs that are shipped have a chance to have a 0% hatch rate even if the eggs were perfectly fresh and fertile when they were shipped. It is not the sellers fault if the eggs are handled poorly by USPS and thrown around in the box and egg cells get ruined. I will say that I guarantee the eggs will make it to you whole and not cracked or I will send you more eggs. I have an extremely high hatch rate over here. My hens always hatch all of their eggs that i allow them to set on. I don't use incubators because I have no need to. I don't want any unhappy customers. If for some reason you are unhappy, please message me and I will do all that I can to make sure you are happy with your purchase.  Here is your rare chance to also own and enjoy these extremely rare hard to find beautiful birds!!!! Please message me if you have any questions. I respond back fast!
