Specifications Description This is an older design prior to the low/high capacity designations for the BT6. The Spirax Sarco BT6 thermostatic balanced pressure steam traps are designed to remove condensate from hygienic and sanitary steam systems with minimal backing up. Applications include sterile steam barriers, block and bleed systems, drainage of steam with crevis free bodies, they are self-draining and operate close to steam temperature. Where very high capacities exist or where CIP fluids are used in the process the BT6HC is recommended - see TI-P180-13 for further details. This trap is designed to be fitted in vertical lines with flow downwards so that it can be completely self draining. Check flow arrow for correct orientation. Do NOT over-tighten clamp as it may cause gasket to extrude and interfere with the element frame. It is normally only necessary to take up slack and tighten nut half a turn maximum.
