This auction includes everything you need to get started, including the GE monogram programming cable, which will program not only these radios but also the mobile monogram radios. This cable hooks up to the computer parallel port with no rib box required. You'll get 10 radios, 8 small desktop chargers with power supplies, 1 dual slot desktop charger, 12 used batteries (old with no guarantee or testing on their run time), and 3 speaker mics. All radios have been programmed to talk to each other and were used by a school in the past. We have a lot of 10 GE Ericsson Monogram UHF portable radios available, designed by Maxon and called the SL70. These radios have a narrow 12.5 (narrow band) or 25 khz spacing, which is ideal for amateur 440 bands. They can accept both narrow and wide channels at the same time on a per channel basis. With 16 channels and 4 watts of power, these radios are top-of-the-line. They can be programmed easily using Maxon software SMP4004c or the readily available GE monogram software. Although the batteries may need replacing, we charged them up and were able to talk on several of them. However, we cannot guarantee their talk time. One radio has a sticker stating "no RX," and we suspect that a couple of others might need work. One speaker mic has tape on the cable, and we are unsure of its condition. These radios are Ericsson model KRD 103 128/4. They are sold AS-IS with no returns.
These haven't been used in a couple years, not sure how long the batteries will last. One has a note on it that it has RX problems. A couple of the rubber knob covers are missing. There are stickers on some or tape residue, may be some identifying engraving on them too.
