This if for the hen that has lost HER tail feathers. You an purchase these from me or my sister (cathy6487) see sellers other items for different saddles types of saddles. We have over 100 different patterns. Your patterns will be random, however if you have certain colors please contact. My sister and I designed and this angle pattern and we both sell them. This item is for your hens protection from the roosters mating and pulling out the hens feathers on the back and tail. This covers the back/tail of the hen so she does not lose her feathers and helps feather re-growth. These are 2 x material. The bottom side is denim and the top a colorful pattern. These can also be reversible. I use the same size saddle on all of my different breeds because of the way they are designed. I have Ameraucana's, Orpingtons, Rhode Ilands, Silver Wyandottes and Gold Wyandottes. This design is totally different then most saddles. With the wing area angled it allows the hen to still continue to move and fly freely. I have tried several different saddles and designed them according to how the hens wings lay. The tail area cut out also allows the tail area to be open because there is a gland by the hens tail that helps feather growth. This design is used with elastic that is moveable/adjustible at the neck area. Very easy to put on; one person can do this. At the neck area you pull the elastic to one side making the wing area bigger. Put the hens wing in the hole. Then at the neck again you pull the elastic to the other side making that bigger. Put the other wing in and at the neck you put the elastic back in the middle. The hen then will adjust it like bra. No snaps are on any of the saddles because other hens and roosters will peck at them. Because there are so many fabric patterns you may not recieve what is shown in the fabric pictures but it will be adorable for you. If you do have a special color or pattern please let me know I will try to accomodate you.
