The item is the Calibratory D-105 DC DC Voltage Reference Standard. It accepts 12VDC-35VDC INPUT. The OUTPUT is 10.000000 VDC ±0.0002% (±2ppm) @14.5VDC INPUT. It has (4) four color-coded gold-plated female banana connectors w/binding posts for INPUT and OUTPUT connections. The connections inside the unit are soldered or bolted. The regulator IC is socketed, so it is not heated by soldering. The unit is temperature compensated, providing 17C-26C (63F-80F) operating-temperature range at 2ppm accuracy. Among the photos is a laboratory null voltage-offset setup. The reading is on mVDC range. The meter reads: 0.0092mVDC (9.2uVDC; 0.92ppm). That is the maximum difference between the 732A 10.000000VDC OUTPUT and the 10.000000VDC OUTPUT of the D-105 DC at its maximum actual error. The null setup is as follows: Fluke 732A OUTPUT (-)ground(-) to OUTPUT (-)ground(-) on the Calibratory D-105 DC Voltage Reference Standard. Power Supply 14.5 Volt DC (+) and (-) to Voltage Standard INPUT; (+) 10.0VDC OUTPUT of 732A to DMM (-)low(-); (+) 10VDC OUTPUT of D-105 DC Voltage Standard to DMM (+). All units are nulled to a 732A or 732B Precision Voltage Reference. Nulling against a precision voltage reference increases precision, because less current flows through the measurement device (DMM). A voltmeter draws some current from the circuit. In a null setup, the potential across the meter is zero, so no current flows through the meter. In practice, the meter never reads absolutely zero, but it's quite close to zero. Nulling is the preferred method of calibration. Think of mass measurement versus weight measurement: the balance is always balanced if the two sides are equal mass. No matter what the mass actually is, if the two sides are equal mass, the balance will balance. If you know the mass on one side, the other side must be the same! So, in a null setup, the meter is like a balance indicator. It exerts no influence over the voltages on either side. The D-105 DC may also be powered with (2) 9V alkaline batteries wired in series. The device settles in roughly five minutes. Maximum output load is 8.0 mA. The unit is maintenance-free. It measures approximately 1.5" x 2.5" x 1.75". Recalibration is available any time. Test instruments and patch cords are not included. Questions, use the link below. Thank you for viewing our eBay.com listing!
