This auction is for a lot of 10 pentagonal head bolts (3/8-16x1 1/4). I acquired these brand new penta bolts as overstock from a huge natural gas and electricity company in the North East. Pentagonal bolts have various uses in industry including in manhole covers, in covers for gas and water shutoff valves, and other high security measures. It is an uncommon head and I don't think they even sell these sockets in retail stores, although I'm sure they can be found. Specifications: 3/8-16x1 1/4 3/8" thread diameter 16 threads per inch 1 1/4" shaft length from bottom of the head 7/8" from one pentagonal point to point most opposite (largest possible diameter on the head is 7/8") Stainless Steel. I do not know specific grade, I suspect 18-8 stainless as many others are. Perhaps someone with more knowledge can decipher it. Heavy duty, each bolt weighs approximately 1.2 ounces. Marked 'STAN' on head. I am intentionally pricing these cheaper than any else I can find online. These are expensive bolts and the cheapest I can find in a quantity of 100 is $2.82 each, or $282 for 100 + S/H. Some companies are selling them for up to $5 EACH.
