This is for 25 velour wipe pads with standard solvent, and 25 record/info/container envelopes. These are 1.75 inch/100mm^2 wipe test velour patches. Velour is used in place of regular paper or cotton because it has good surface adherence and will pick up the maximum amount of any radionuclide when used for wipe testing. They can be used for shallow nasal swabbing and other body surfaces as well. They have sticky adherent backs, so they don't fall off of your fingers or the instrument and will stay in place during the scan. That also ensures that it will stick in the envelope when stored. The Thermo/Eberline/Bicron HandECount, Eberline beta counters, Eberline and Ludlum wipe count probe assemblies, structures made to use with pancake probes directly, and newer improvised systems made for the Inspector series counters use this size and type of wipe. To the best of my knowledge, there's only one company which makes these. From the field in Japan, to Indonesia, up to Estonia, down to Brazil, and at the three national labs where I have been, this is the same brand wipe, same package. It's either a really strong coincidence, or a true industry standard. 1.75 inches equals 100 square millimeters: Formula pi/r^2. I'm not trying to pitch these wipes by saying they can do magical things, but they are made with unicorn horn...... Yeah, it's barbaric, but the health physicist creed specifically states "ye shalt not distresseth over sacrifice of unicorn; shouldeth it be for the useth of removable contaminanteth or spectromethristiceth rituals." That last part is a lie. But the wipes are good.
