This is a 9V series tig torch which means it has a valve in the handle. It is designed for machines which do not have gas solenoid valves in them. Common brand names/designations are WP-9V (Weldcraft), PTA-9V (Lincoln), DB-9V (Miller Diamond Back). This is an extremely high quality tig welding torch which features a one piece cable design. The cable is extremely flexible - it is not rubber or vinyl - and it will stay flexible in cold weather. This design puts much less strain on your wrist and makes the torch feel lighter. It is very popular with people building aircraft due to its nice compact size. It uses 13N series Alumina Cups which are about 1 1/8" long.
