12+ Pearl Cotunix Quail Hatching Eggs. Condition is "New". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. The Pearl Coturnix Quail is a very unique and beautiful bird. They have magnificent colors and catch the eyes of many people. They are very similar to the regular coturnix quail, just a different color. These quail are a fairly rare bird and they are still new so they are a good investment for anyone looking to get into raising quail. They lay around 300 eggs per year with sufficient lighting and have a moderately good productivity life of around 2-3 years of age. They can also be used for meat which although they don't yield a lot of meat, it is very flavorful and considered a delicacy. Our birds are on a game bird starter feed which has the necessary amounts of proteins and other nutrients that they need. Their diets are also supplemented with fruits, vegetables, and other materials to keep them happy and healthy. They have a custom built cage with automatic waterers and feeders that allows them to have access to whatever they need whenever they need it. We care for our birds, and insure that they are safe and happy so that they can live long productive lives. One thing about these quail that makes them special is that they are auto-sexing, meaning that you can tell the gender of them based on feather colors after a few weeks. The females are going to have a more plain black and white feather pattern, while the males will have more orange around their head, neck, and back areas. They are an all around great bird, easy to keep, low maintenance, high productivity!! The perfect bird for you!! Shipping hatching eggs is always a gamble and we cannot guarantee fertility rates, the postal services are usually fairly rough however we have had wonderful success in past years. In order to have good success we individually wrap each egg in bubble wrap and then place them tip down in the box. The boxes are also packed with bubble wrap, newspaper, or other soft filling material to make sure the eggs do not get jostled around. We do fertility tests monthly to make sure that eggs are fertile. You are guaranteed to have at least two or three extra eggs in each order to add a little extra security to make sure that you get all the eggs that you pay for. We have received lots of feedback and most customers receive all of their eggs intact and have good fertility.
