This technology consists of the PEX running in sub-floor or concrete installed in an “S” shape pattern. Controlled hot water flows through the PEX pipes system for an efficient and comfortable heating environment. Some of the advantages of under floor heating with PEX are: 1. Comfortable Radiant floor heating using PEX pipes creates a very pleasant indoor climate by achieving a uniform temperature. 2. Economical The system uses low temperatures, resulting in significant energy savings when compared to traditional methods. Also, no hot air accumulates at the ceiling level, which improves energy efficiency. 3. Flexible The flexibility of PEX allows for easy handling during installation compared to conventional heating systems. Installers can thus run continuous pipes without inserting fittings. 4. Safe The floor dries up in a matter of minutes after cleaning. Pipes do not burst in cold weather. No particles will come from the PEX pipe into the water system, as you would see in conventional piping systems. The production of PEX and PEX pipes is strictly supervised by NSF, ASTM, CSA and other international institutes.
