NOTE: I just noticed the pictures make it look like it make be cracked or broke. I guarantee you it is NOT. That is just a casting seam in the aluminum housing. It is NOT cracked or broke. This is a 12 volt DC gear motor. Under no load it turns about 47 rpm with the included power adapter.  I did not test it with a 12 volt battery, but it should be about the same.  It will rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise. Reverse direction by switching positive and negative wire connections.  Thread size is 3/8" standard. I will also include the adapter that is in the pictures..  It will screw on the output shaft male threads and then you have 3/8" female threads. Although it does have a lot of torque, it does seem to have some kind of a slip clutch built into it. With a wrench and a good grip I can stop the output shaft from turning, but you can still hear the motor turning. Make sense?   And that slip clutch *MAY* be adjustable. I didn't take it apart to look.  NO PLASTIC parts and pieces in this unit. Runs quite. It is very well made. Guaranteed to be working properly when you receive it. I will also include the 120AC adapter you see pictured.   Should, could, would maybe come in handy for some kind of crazy project you have in your head. lol
