I did have to weight the head(kind of a standard practice when used like I do) but have had zero complications in utilizing it.I currently utilize this head for a 'base' for making masks, props, and full face modelings for various special effect designs. I have had zero issues with materials bonding to the mannequin and the seams are minimal so I do not have to repair or 'cover' any flaws in the mannequin itself.All told I personally believe that I have more then gotten my money's worth for this item and am expecting to be able to use it for a long time.
