The Welsummer is a Dutch breed of domestic chicken. It originates in the small village of Welsum, in the eastern Netherlands. It was bred at the beginning of the 20th century from local fowls. *The Welsumer lays eggs that are large, very dark brown, often with dark spots. *My hens lay 5 to 6 eggs per week per hen. *They are cold hardy and great at free range and finding food. *They roam all day in search of food even though I keep their feeders full at all times. *They love to eat weeds from the yard. *It is a light, friendly, and intelligent breed, with rustic-red and orange color. *They are the Kelloggs Cornflakes rooster. Fertility in my eggs is very good and I hatch on a regular schedule. I can't guarantee hatching rates because of shipping and handling after it leaves my control. I package my eggs well, and will send extras. I do not wash the eggs because it destroys the protective barrier on the eggs. The hens puts a protective barrier on the egg to keep bacteria out which keeps the chick alive in the egg.   I will provide a tracking number. Please have your incubator set up and running for 24 hours before the eggs arrive, so the temperature and humidity level will stabilize. If you don't have one, I  recommend the hova-bator from GQF with an automatic egg turner. Please pay promptly because live eggs are time sensitive and need to be shipped fresh and as soon as possible. PLEASE MAKE PAYMENT AT END OF AUCTION. IF YOU WANT YOUR PHONE NUMBER PLACED ON PACKAGE IN CASE OF DELIVERY PROBLEMS WITH POST OFFICE, YOU CAN EMAIL IT TO ME. Shipping only to the lower 48 states. Will not ship to Alaska, Porto Rico, Hawaii or other countries. THANKS YOU FOR LOOKING AND HAVE A GREAT DAY!
