Greetings! Thank you for joining us in order to preview an exceptionally scarce, distinctive and rather hefty collective of "Golden Age" farming publications for any variety of collector, research enthusiast, historical farm archives and decorative accent. Offered here are SEVENTEEN original (1946) bi-monthly AMERICAN AGRICULTURIST - "The Farm Paper of the Northeast" - newspaper publications. The vintage papers are all different; of complete text; abundant with page after page of early "Golden Age" farm tractor, truck, cream separator, farm machinery, attachments, railroad, veterinary, chainsaw, sawmill and numerous other advertisements for perusal. The articles are fabulous, with numerous bits on farm life and the world of agriculture; not limited to technological advancements for "Farming without Horses"; as though it was a new concept still in '46. Tid-bits about the romance of the wood stove or fishing trips with Grandpa brings forth a sense of the beauty with country living in New England. The vintage farm publications were procured this past Summer from a Central Maine farm estate, situated in the Androscoggin River valley. A farm tool shed discovery; several of the back issues show mention worthy discoloration and slightly brittle paper quality; where the majority of bi-monthly publications are super crisp, supple, bold and bright for newspaper quality ephemera.
