This is a Coreless high power 17 mm by 25 mm part number 371609 DC brushed motor with 7 poles and precious metal brushes. It has two terminals and because it is coreless it has no cogging at low speeds and will have a flywheel effect nicely when power is interupted. The Neodymium rare earth magnets double or triple the stall torque compared to the A max motor with alnico magnets. Please check the factory spec sheets. This motor is 17 mm diameter and 25 mm long with 1.5 mm shaft. You can examine the factory spec sheets at maxonmotor dot com just check under RE max 17 and you will find that the stall torque stated in "mnm" is over 1 oz inch) (to convert mnm to oz inches divide by 7) It is very easy to see that the a max 16 has no where near the stall torque of the RE MAX. Amax is excellent motor but the rare earth magnets have the same effect as using a 2 to 1 gearhead ratio to double the torque!!  This motor will crank 6000 rpm at full throttle. Also the remax has a shroud which can be removed leaving a 16 mm diameter. The motor has unbelievably strong magnets so you will notice how strong the magnets are.
