Up for auction are 18 bearded silkie hatching eggs from Magnolia Silkies. We will include extras if possible but won't hold up a shipment waiting for them. Colors will be whatever eggs are laid but could include white, blue/black/splash, buff, partridge, porcelain or paint. Pens are separated by color so chicks will be pure. We will do our best to honor any requests for specific colors but can't guarantee anything since the hens don't exactly let us place orders and this time of year we have so many molting or broody. If you're looking for a specific color or amount of eggs contact us and we'll see what we can do. I do have a naked neck rooster in the BBS and white pens so showgirls are a possibility in those colors although we haven't been getting very many. We are a member of the American Silkie Bantam Club, we are NPIP inspected and certified and have clean, healthy birds. We keep all of our breeders in a bio-secure area away from contaminants from wild birds and practice strict bio-security. We test regularly for MS/MG so we are confident in the health of our birds. We only breed show/breeder quality birds. All of our breeding stock comes from top lines. All of our breeder birds are typey, have nice foot feathering, have 5 toes, correct toe spacing, full crests, fluffy cushions, mulberry combs, blue ears, black skin and nice tight wings. We can't guarantee you will hatch show quality chicks but make sure our breeders meet the silkie standard as closely as possible. All eggs will be marked for date laid as well as color and will be as fresh as possible. We only ship eggs 4 days old and less and include extras whenever possible. We ship one-three day priority shipping on Monday-Thursday so if you order Friday or later your order will go out the following Monday to ensure you get your eggs fresh rather than sitting at the post office over a weekend. Eggs will be packaged appropriately to protect them. We wrap individually in bubble wrap, put in an egg carton then put in a box packed tightly with newspaper to keep them from being bounced around. We mark them clearly as fragile, to be handled carefully and not x-rayed. After this I unfortunately cannot guarantee safe arrival or hatch rate. We have a 90-100% fertility rate here at the farm and do test hatches regularly to confirm this as well as have many good reports from buyers but shipping, rough handling and/or faulty incubation can reduce the hatch-ability so we can't guarantee what you'll get. If you cannot accept that shipped eggs are a gamble please don't purchase shipped eggs. Because hatching eggs are time sensitive, please pay right away after auction ends. I schedule my auctions to end when eggs will be ready so I reserve the right to cancel sales if not paid within 24 hours since a delay can make them too old to ship.
