On offer here is a cloth covered book titled PRACTICAL REMARKS AGRICULTURAL DRAINAGE by William Hozier published William Balackwood & sons Edinburgh under the auspices of THE HIGHLAND AND AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY OF SCOTLAND in 1870. The Large Gold Medal of the Society was awarded to Mr Hozier for this report which was then made more available to the public. Contents Outfalls Main Drains Small Drains Depth Laying off and cutting drains Tiles and Tile Laying Filling Period for draining, and subsequent treatment of land Cost of Draining. Measuring 9 by 5 1/2 inches the purple cloth covered card covers have slight bumping on corners and spine ends, slight marks to back. Internally bright and clean with minor small marks to rear pastedown. In very good all round condition despite its 1870 age. Please see the images for more information and details.
