For your consideration is one vintage all original Engraved Electrotype plate from the 1920's. The plate says in reverse "TO MY VALENTINE....with a Man & Women couple in relief below that". This is an all metal, copper plated Engraved Die that probably would have used to create a card of other document with that engraved message. I really don't know anything about printing but over the last 25 years we've had several items that were similar that we have sold in the shop. I dated this based on the postage stamp that was used to mail it from N.Y. to Rhinelander, Wis. The stamp was 1st issued in 1923 and was used throughout the 20's. This auction includes the die and the original shipping envelope as seen in the gallery photo.
