Up for auction is a rare series of booklets, published for members of the printing industry, and dedicated to the United Typothetae of America, entitled BUILDING A PRINTING BUSINESS.  Published by the American Writing Paper Company in Chicago in 1922. Book's distributor perhaps, listed on front cover as the New York Employing Printers Association in New York City. Lot consists of twelve booklets, although Number Seven is a duplicate.  Booklet Number Eight is not with this lot, but this is the only one missing.  Each booklet is individually titled, and all are authored by Robert Ruxton. Number One: What We Work For Number Two:  Looking Down Main Street Number Three:  The Field for Skill and Knowledge Number Four:  Bonanzas Number Five:  Building a Printing Business Number Six:  Two Jobs for One or Doubling the Business Number Seven:  The Cinderella of Advertising - Selling  (2 copies) Number Nine:  Blazing the Trail Number Ten:  Constructive Pioneering Number Eleven:  The Need of Printing Craft Number Twelve:  Why and How: Review and Summarization The last booklet reviews the content of the previous eleven, and lists the missing Number Eight as Salesmanship in Print.  All booklets about 14 pages apiece and each measures 5" x 7-1/4".  All staplebound in stiff grey wraps.  Very rare lot, with no other examples available online.  Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
