Cover ~ Black flexible hardcover with gilt lettering on the spine. Number of Pages ~ 496 pages with Index. Illustrated ~ Yes, with drawings, diagrams, and photographs. Book measures about ~ 8 3/8 inches X 5 1/2 inches. Condition ~ Acceptable. There are some small surface marks on the cover. The bottom corner of the first ten pages has been chewed/worn/torn off (it is the worst on the first page and graduates to nothing by the tenth page). The first and last blank pages have tanned over time. The page opposite the title page has a tear along the edge that touches the gutter. There is a small spot/mark on about five pages. There is a small graduated damp stain on the top margin edge from about page 265 to about page 318. Some of those pages also have a small chip and/or a crease. NO text is affected (except where the crease is)! Otherwise this vintage book is in Acceptable condition!
