With an introduction by Aldous Huxley and examples from D. B. Updike, Bruce Rogers, Golden Cockerel Press, and other notable typographers and book designers Oliver Simon and Julius Rodenberg: Printing of To-Day: An Illustrated Survey of Post-war Typography in Europe and the United States, with a General Introduction by Aldous Huxley. First edition: London: Peter Davies Limited, and New York: Harper and Brothers, 1928. Blue cloth with large patterenen paper label, 13-1/2" x 9-3/4", approx. 137, illustrated (some examples with color). Light soiling and rubbing to covers, and some wear and fraying to corners, otherwise clean, tight, and very good to near fine overall. A handsome, large-format, extensively illustrated survey of then-contemporary type design and printing specimens.
