1950's Steel Fire Floor Chest Safe w/ Original Yale Combination Instructions Description Vintage Steel Strong Box Chest Safe with Original Yale Combination Instructions For your consideration is a heavy duty strong box fire resistant safe. It is in excellent working order. The original operating instructions are included. This strong box measures 16" x 12.75" x 9". This strong box safe is heavy weighing in at close to 60 lbs. I dated this safe using an ad in a 1952 Popular Mechanics for Hamilton Safe Equipment Co. of Beloit, Wis. & the label on the interior. I am confident that this safe was made before 1963. That is when the state abbreviations were changed to 2 letters. The interior label has 3 letters for Wisconsin. I do not know the exact date of manufacture for this particular safe. If you have more information about it, please message me & I will add it to the listing. This is great working strong box safe. You can keep your valuables safe & secure in this strong box safe.
