1964 EICO 950 CAPACITOR AND RESISTOR CHECKER for repairing tube radios This was the capacitor tester on my work bench till I recently discovered that I had the one my dad built from a kit in 1958. It has served me well and I used it averaging once a month for the last 10 years. You can get digital testers for capacitors, but if you plan to work in tube radios, this is the type you want. It can test for leakage by actually applying high voltage to the capacitor. You get a visual indication of how the capacitor is doing by a visual indication from the green eye tube in the checker. This tester can also test resistors and it comes with the original assembly manual. Date codes indicate this was made in 1964. The construction manual is copyright 1954.  This device is essential for someone who plans to work with tube radios. The photos constitute part of the description. Look carefully.
