 This advertising specialty tape measure was distributed in 1965 as part of Heidelberg's 115 year anniversary celebration.  This steel tape measure is 6 feet long and marked in inches and picas.  The measure has been stored in its original box for the past 50 years.  It does not show any signs of being wet, but the cardboard is frail .  The recoil on the tape is sluggish / sticky although the tape shows no signs of any dirt or other contaminant.  The one we are keeping for ourselves has loosened up as we have played with the tape. This is a collectible and not a production tool.  If you have a Heidelberg shop it would look great on your desk or shelf.  Or maybe the perfect gift for the pressman retiring from running Heidelberg for his whole career.  Better yet, if you run the presses, buy it for yourself!  Plastic case, steel tape, original box.
