Offering an incredible deal on a pair of "modified for advertising use" GE 60" searchlights - just like the ones in the movie studios' logos. This pair would be fabulous for a Museum or Dedication facility. These lights are a very prominent part of history. By their very nature most times we just "expect" to see spotlights - but who do you know that has actually seen one while in use? Draw attention that no advertising could ever achieve Bypass most rules and restrictions, as the are "in" the facility's collection. Nonprofits need capital to operate and it's hard to get - period. If anyone should be "smart" about things, I would think an educational place should - and be understandable. It's a fact, that when one of these are put on display, people come from 10 to 30 miles away. I have been there - done that. I acquired these a year ago when I thought my health would allow me to start a business here, as well as the reasoning that the movie studios oftentimes rent these units for combating shadows in bright sunlit scenes. They pay handsomely - and expect you to perform the same way. It is now obvious that I will never be well enough again to keep the promises one has to in this business - but if you enjoy people - light one of these babies up - you will have a crowd like flying insects to a summer's night. You now have the opportunity to sell or find people for your other endeavors - let them come to you! Replacement parts and such are much more easily found than I thought - check for yourselfs. Visit My eBay Store: Misc.Expert and other's stuff Stores There are many find some images of the carbon arc searchlights and also how they were used.  Besides being used for Anti-Aircraft duty these were also used to illuminate battlefields.  After World War 2 saw different uses.  One significant use was by NASA to light up the massive Saturn V rockets.  Many of the remaining searchlights were sold off as surplus to advertising companies.  Those ended up being heavily altered and anything that wasn't required to make it light up and spin around was stripped off and discarded.   If you have never been up close to this much light - It's FABULOUS! Imagine - only last year, 2014, did anyone build a brighter light - I mean any kind, LED, Laser, any kind. There is a large variation of the way the original lights were converted for modern advertising and promotional use. These units were well done. Properly balanced on adequate frames, they are made to pull tandemly as well as separately.  .   I have been contacted by people saying how cheaply they have gotten these. Please don't waste my time, I really dislike negativity. So please... If you are at all interested, please just speak with me, because the season is usually a factor, and in order to catch this season, someone should start soon. I am willing to help in ANY WAY.
