The back is a flat steel piece with 2 holes for attaching to your wall. A pretty scroll design perused out to hold 3 - 4" rings for you to place the hats on. This is a new item made in the USA of flat steel and steel wire with a black enamel finish. Measures approx. 22" tall x 3" wide and stands out approx. 9" from the wall.
