HEAVY 2-sided plate - One side laps the Other side hones. U.S. made in Fort Lauderdale. Lapping and Honing plate 1018 steel Flip-It” Plate. Made in Florida Approx. 6” x 2 1/4” x 1 1/2” THICK. Each major side has a function - Lap or Hone, one with cross cuts the other smooth. Very Heavy. Very thick. But still easily moveable EDC and carry. Grooved sides for handling. Both sides were manually fly cut, then manually surface ground flat to .0006” flat deviation (at an off-0-degree with a finish not glass mirror-like but a touch of tooth to permit micro capture of grit). The lapping side was then post-grind manually lapped for a slightly finer flat surface. Lap side is cross cut. Hone side is smooth. Please don’t expect aerospace quality, this is functional and great value. Each of my newest plates here has the most minor of inclusion such as a small hairline or peck, but nothing to affect lapping or honing since they're sub surface.
