20 Gauge Stranded Single Conductor Hookup Wire                 100 Foot Spool: White Description: Hook up wire is a much needed part of your electronic projects and repairs. Even a printed circuit board needs a way to “communicate” off the board. This is generally done with hook up wire going from the board to potentiometers, variable capacitors, LED’s, and other components not mounted on the board. This listing is for single conductor 300 volt rated copper hook up wire. This is the wire you will use for your point to point internal wiring of radios, amps, guitars, test equipment, appliances, machines, and control panels. NTE is a 40 year leader in electronic manufacture and distribution. Tips for the Hobbyist, Experimenter, Radio and Hi-Fi Enthusiasts. 1. Stranded wire is much more flexible than solid wire. 2. Solid wire is good when working with breadboards. 3. For general point to point wiring, 24 and 22 gauge is a good all around size. 4. The higher the gauge number, the more current it can handle. For example, 18        gauge can handle more current than a 26 gauge wire. See chart below 5. Vintage radio circuits and audio amplifiers, etc that use tubes generally require a     lower gauge wire such as 18, 20, or 22 gauge. 6. Color code your wiring for easy identification. For example, use black, red,     green, and white for power and grounds. Use other colors for sorting RF, AF,    digital and analog lines. Color coding makes troubleshooting much easier. 7. Keep your wiring neat. For example, square your corners. Keeping the wiring     neat not only makes it look professional, but it makes troubleshooting much     easier. In addition, electrically, neat wires as opposed to a bundle of wires will     reduce noise and other RF generated emissions. 8. Always use a wire size rated for the proper current your circuit is using. See the       chart below. Once the order is brought to the post office and shipped, it is out of our hands. Delivery outside of the United States can take anywhere from 1 week all the way up until 12 weeks (Typical though is one to four weeks).      There are numerous reasons for the delay. Typically, packages are delayed in customs, first in the United States and then in overseas customs. We cannot control the time packages are in customs.      If you contact us to see where your item is, and we tell you it has been shipped, that is all we can do. On small packages, we do not use delivery confirmation because of the high cost. The cost to use confirmation overseas will far exceed the price of the item purchased. If the package has not arrived by 12 weeks, we will issue you a refund or a replacement if the item is available.      According to Ebay statistics, only 19% of sellers in the United States will ship overseas. And according to Ebay surveys, those who do not ship overseas site customer complaints from long delivery times as the reason.      We have chosen to do business with our international friends. However, we ask for your patience. Too often we get emails asking where my item is when it has not even been a week or two.      Our next choice will be to either discontinue international sales or charge for delivery confirmation which will add considerably to the cost. Please be patient.      Note, it is the responsibility of the buyer to pay all and any custom fees. We do not know how much these fees are. You will have to inquiry within your own country. Thank you
