The glass globe has a stainless steel band around the two shade halves, that securely holds the holophane shade together. The light fixture has a ceiling ball mount bracket that allows this fixture to be used on a flat, or angle/slant ceiling applications. The light fixture has 4 solid steel down rods that can be retrofitted to any length to give the buyer a choice of overall fixture length,  from 32" - 84" long. The light fixture has a mogul socket, but each fixture comes with a mogule socket adapter which allows use of a standard base light bulb.
