About our Company Slices Concession was founded in 2005 by University of Florida graduates and we specialize in ice cream equipment. On occasion we might sell a random deli cooler or stove, but we are all about the ice cream machines. Since 2012, we have opened a new location in Reno Nevada to serve all your west coast needs. We do the majority of our business in the wholesale market, selling to other resellers and refurbishers in the industry. At one time, you would have found us at our own Ice Cream store (The Gelato Company), so we know how important it is to have a reliable ice cream machine. We are a Florida base LLC and we believe strongly in supporting our troops and supporting small businesses. We have warehouses in Gainesville Florida (east coast operations) and Reno Nevada (west coast operations). We offer discounted prices for customers who buy direct, as we do not enjoy passing down cost to our customers. You are all the welcome to come by our warehouses and check out our inventory. Crating and Shipping Due to strict Ebay Policies, all machines purchased through Ebay are REQUIRED to be crated and is included into the price. Our shipper for the last five years has been Mike Bergfeld with S3 Logistics/My Freight World. As a small business himself, Mike specializes in helping small businesses meet their shipping needs. All shipping is insured during transit. Warranties and Guaranties We offer a 30 day parts and labor warranty. Machine needs to be shipped to either our Gainesville, FL or Reno, NV location for service at the buyer’s expense. Warranty starts on the shipping date of the machine, and does not cover any damages caused by user negligence, which will be determined by seller. Slices Concession will not warranty any work and repairs done by outside parties. Warranty will not cover any damages caused from shipping, as a separate shipping insurance policy will cover the machine in transit. Our machines are sold in full working condition at the point of shipping. Please note that though rare, when shipping ice cream machines sometimes sensitive copper fittings and lines can be knocked loose from vibrations during shipping, requiring additional repairs on arrival. The machine you order will be reinspected before it leaves our warehouse. We encourage customers to come by and inspect the machines themselves before purchase. We can turn the machines on and show you how to use, clean, and troubleshoot problems. If you are unable to physically inspect the machines yourself, I recommend that you hire a local Gainesville refrigeration company (cost $80-$120 for peace of mind) to come by and inspect the machines. In town we recommend A Plus Refrigeration, as they are a great company that has done thorough inspections for past customers of ours. Payment We take Paypal (on items purchased on Ebay), cashiers check, credit cards, and wire transfer. Financing We do not offer financing directly.
