FOR SALE. 2014 BOSS YOUNGMAN Evolution heavy duty industrial quality, mobile aluminium access scaffold tower, narrow width, with a big 8.5 metre (28 feet) working height. NO RESERVE. Base size is 1800mm long x 850mm wide, narrow width. With a big 8.5 metres (28 feet) working height. This 2014 BOSS tower has only been used on one project and is in excellent condition, as can be seen in the photographs, and there are NO paint or cement marks on it at all. We used it on a job in a large pharmaceutical factory in an "ultra clean" area which was deemed inappropriate for us to use one of our used towers in this ultra clean environment, so we decided to buy a new BOSS tower for this job. (we will also be listing an "as new" diesel powered steam generator cleaning machine very shortly, this was also only used on this project). With it being a narrow width tower we find that it is more useful on site than the double width tower because it can fit into those tight spaces that a double width tower cannot fit into, especially in factories where there are floor fixed machinery and overhead lighting and pipework runs which make it very difficult to move a double width tower around these obstacles. A narrow tower also takes up a lot less storage space when it has been dismantled. It is also easier to transport a narrow tower as it takes up less space and can fit into the smaller type of vans, it will even fit into a large estate car or a 4x4. A double width tower will not fit into most small / medium size vans. I would always prefer to have a single width tower any day. This BOSS tower is a heavy duty, industrial quality, aluminium mobile access tower with an excellent build quality second to none. That is why most scaffold hire companies choose BOSS towers for their tower hire stock. Strict health and safety issues mean that construction companies dare not compromise with the safety of their workforce, therefore they supply them with industrial quality, heavy duty aluminium scaffold towers such as BOSS. Do not confuse this BOSS tower with the much inferior D.I.Y. types of tower that most people are offering on eBay. There is no comparison between the two. Those of you who are familiar with the usage of towers, and who have had to work on these D.I.Y. type of tower will know what I mean when I say that I never felt safe when using one of these flimsy D.I.Y. towers . Yes, it is a lot cheaper to buy a D.I.Y. tower, but it will never stand up to the day to day heavy usage that an industrial BOSS tower will endure. As an employer you are responsible for the safety of your employees, so penny-pinching for the sake of a few pounds is just not worth the risk, especially if things did go wrong. The choice is yours. This tower can be erected by one person in about 20 minutes, or by two people in 10 minutes. It's so simple. THIS 2014 BOSS YOUNGMAN EVOLUTION TOWER CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS :- 3 x 4 rung ladder frames, each 2.1 mt tall x 850mm wide. 3 x 4 rung span frames, each 2.1 mt tall x 850mm wide. 1 x 2 rung ladder frame, each 1 mt tall x 850mm wide. 1 x 2 rung span frame, each 1 mt tall x 850mm wide. 10 x horizontal brace rails (red), each 1.8 mt long. 10 x diagonal brace rails (blue), each 2.1 mt long. 4 x SP7 outrigger stabilizers with rubber feet. 2 x 1.8 mt long x 600mm wide platforms, (both with trapdoors). 4 x height adjustable legs (for use on uneven ground). 4 x castor wheels with brakes. 4 x yellow toe board holder clips. 4 x wooden toe boards, 2 long and 2 short. I would prefer cash on collection, but if that is a problem I would consider another payment option. You can come and pick the tower up yourself or you can arrange for your own carrier to collect it . I may be willing to deliver within a 50 mile radius. I can put the tower on an oversized pallet and arrange for a carrier to deliver it to your door at a cost of ?98.76p for most places in the UK, but please contact me before you bid so that I can give you a delivery price for the more remote places. The delivery price quoted is for mainland UK only. For Highlands and Islands and non-mainland deliveries it would be a little more. DON'T FORGET, THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS TOWER AND IT WILL BE SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER. Please don't leave your final bid to the last minutes because you will almost certainly be beaten on the "fastest finger" final bid. We sold another of our towers from one of our construction sites about two years ago on eBay, and this chap had been following my tower auction and he had been out-bidding everybody for the last 3 days obviously determined to win the auction. About 20 seconds from the end of the auction he bid again and he must have thought that he had won the tower, when suddenly only 6 seconds from time-out a completely new bidder won it with his first and only bid. The unfortunate under-bidder phoned me a few minutes later after the end of the auction and he said that he could not believe what had just happened and he offered to pay me a lot more than the winning bid , but of course it was too late and the tower went to the winning bidder. The under-bidder was most unhappy at what he had just witnessed as he had been following the sale of that tower for 3 full days and had it snatched away from him in the dying seconds . The moral of this story is for you to decide what your maximum bid is going to be, and then bid that maximum amount and then eBay will automatically bid up to your maximum bid for you, even at the last second. You will probably find that the automatic bidding will not reach as high as your maximum bid and you could find that you have won the item at a much lower price than you anticipated, but more importantly is the fact that you did win the auction because of the automatic bidding, and not just missed out because you were not quick enough in the last seconds of manual bidding. Even if the bidding goes higher than your maximum bid and you still want to bid, then you can still try the "fastest finger" bidding in the last minute of the auction.
