Pure ACS grade elemental iodine crystals, 250 grams This iodine is in the form of crystals, not precipitate, powder or prills, with a purity of about 99.9%.  The lid is plastic with a completely unreactive polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon) liner.  Its uses include chemistry, disinfection of drinking water, daguerreotype photography, and for use in solution as a disinfectant and antiseptic.  PRECAUTIONS Iodine is relatively non-volatile and unreactive at room temperature (it is the least volatile and reactive of the stable halogens), but will instantly stain skin and clothing, and the vapors are very harmful to the mucous membranes, especially when heated.  Prolonged contact with the skin can cause chemical burns.  DISCLAIMER By purchasing this product, you agree that neither the seller, eBay nor PayPal will be held responsible in any way for any damages or injuries brought about by the use of this product.  You agree that you are at least 18 years of age, and have the knowledge, experience and tools to safely handle this material.
