Genta-Oph 5ml Eye Drops Gentamicin Sterile expiry date July 2018 Composition Each ml of Genta-Oph Eye Drops contains gentamicin sulfate equivalent to gentamicin 3mg (0.3%) Actions Genta-Oph Eye Drops is a sterile, clear, buffered isotonic solution of gentanicin sulfate which is a bactericidal and has greater antibacterial activity than neomycin and kanamycin. It is effective against many strain of gram-negative and some gram-positive bacteria by interferes with bacterial protein synthesis resulting in a defective bacterial cell membrane. Indications For the treatment of infections, caused by susceptible microorganism, of the external eye and adnexa, which caused conjunctivitis, blepharitis, dacryocystitis, keratitis, trachoma. Dosage & Administration Instill 1-2 drops into eye(s) every 4 hours, insevere infection; dosage may be increased to 2 drops every hour. Warnings ? Do not let the dropping nozzle (tip) contact with anything, eg. Fingers, eyeball, eyelash, eyelids, etc. As the germs may contaminate the content. Always replace the cap immediately after use. ? Do not use longer than 1 month after first opening. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to gentamicin or other amino glycosides. Precautions Discontinue if irritation or sensitization occurs.
