Brand new, never used 3/8"  flush trim panel pilot router bit with 1 carbide flute and a 1/2" shank.  Serves for plunge cutting through a panel usually to make a guided cut against a template or rough framing from the other side.  These bits most often see use in cutting larger sink openings in already installed counter tops or where a laminate is placed over an existing sink opening in the counter base material.  They are also extremely handy for removing plywood sheathing from window openings like an up sized sheet-rock cut out tool.  The V shape at the tip bores through the surface being cut, but has a slicked metal edge to act as a guide once plunged through to the other side.  It's a solid alternative to a reciprocating saw in many applications including the sheathing example here mentioned in which the guide runs along the raw 2 x framing advancing a clean, flush cut where a reciprocating saw would leave a rough and uneven edge in even the most highly skilled hands.  It's the faster, neater, more professional looking method hands down. This bit will fit all 1/2" shank portable and table routers.  C2 Micrograin tungsten carbide cutting edge provides a good balance of strength and durability.  Harder C3 and C4 carbides wear somewhat more slowly, but are also more brittle, meaning they are more likely to chip in an encounter with an unseen nail or embedded rock.  Softer C1 carbides wear more quickly, but are likewise the most resistant to shock damage.  All Carbide wear at a rate at least 10x slower than their high speed steel equivalents.   See attached image for dimension specifics -Shank and body carbon steel heat treated for stability -Low kickback design -Precision ground 1/2 shanks   As always, the items I sell on eBay are items that I use, and that I find to be of particular value. These router bits are no exception!  They are the only 1/2" shank bits i use, and they stand up to the highest priced name brand equivalents with absolutely no downside.  Opposite the case of circular and chainsaw blades with flat tips intended only to cut a line, many router bits have detailed cutting edges with critical clearance sizes that cut perfectly only when the edge is virgin.  Additionally, most of us don't have the capacity to machine sharpen curved edges common to all but straight bits, so the carbide tip ends up being wasted when we toss old bits to buy new ones.  These bits last as long as any others I have ever used.  If intended for occasional use, they should pretty much last forever, and again, if you beat your bits and dull them frequently, I dare anyone to find a way to restore the carbide edge for less than the cost of a shiny new one of these... Use them like disposable HSS bits, but enjoy the 10x longer life! Best offer feature is primarily intended for customers to suggest combined shipping discounts.  My single item buy it now prices are typically as low as I can go for an individual sale, but check out my other auctions, and if you see anything else you like, buy one item and we can work out combined shipping discounts on additional items using the best offer / counter offer feature.  For small items it can make a pretty big difference in per item cost.
